About Imacura
A small studio with its own products.
I started Imacura to make software the way I'd want it made for me: by a small team that cares about every screen and stays after launch.
Before taking on anyone else's product, I built two of our own. Nazara is a people's atlas, where a city is mapped by what its people notice and write about it. Daak is a way to write and send postcards again, with the stamp, the postmark and the wait all kept. I designed, built and run both. They're how we test our ideas, and they're the standard we hold client work to.
The name is a promise: imagine, then curate. Ideas are cheap and plentiful. The work is choosing the few that matter and making them well.
When you write to Imacura, I'm the one who replies.
How we work
four things we won't trade away
We ship our own products first
Every tool and pattern we offer a client has run in production on Nazara or Daak.
One person, start to finish
The person on your first call is the person building your product. No hand-offs, no account managers.
Fixed quotes, written down
You know the scope, the price and the date before any work begins.
We stay after launch
Hosting, monitoring and improvements, for as long as it's useful to you.
The name and the mark
Imacura is imagine and curate: have many ideas, then choose the few that matter and make them well.
Our mark is a kolam, drawn at dawn on doorsteps across South India. First the dots are set out in order, then one continuous line is woven round them without lifting the hand. A small map of the cosmos, every point connected by a line that never breaks. It's how we try to build software.
